Description
A tall evergreen tree with slender branches and a statuesque conical shape. It bears small flowers and round brownish-grey cones or nuts.
Characteristics
Woody, slightly spice yet clear and refreshing.

General
The word ‘sempervirens’ means ‘ever-living’ and the ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians dedicated this tree to their gods of the underworld hence the use of trees in cemeteries.
Blends well with
Bergamot, Clary sage, Fennel, Grapefruit, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Orange, Pine, Rosemary and Tangerine.
Indications
Mind & Spirit –Strengthening to overburdened nervous system and restores calm. Seems to soothe anger, cleansing the spirit and removing psychic blocks. Also recommended in times of transition such as career changes, moving home and major spiritual decisions. Also helpful with painful transitions like bereavement or ending a close relationship.
Body – Excellent for discharging excessive body fluid, eases varicose veins and haemorrhoids. Used for coughs and bronchitis, asthma and whooping cough. Regulating to the menstrual cycle, beneficial in menopause with abnormally heavy blood loss is a problem.
Skin & Hair – Deodorant and astringent – good in foot baths for excessive perspiration of the feet. Useful for treating oily skin and over hydrated skin.
